Dales Collectibles is Growing Steadily!

First of all I think it is important that I thank each of you who have visited Dale’s Collectibles whether or not you made a purchase I am very glad that you at least took some of your time to see what we are actually doing on our site.

I am sure there are those out there who are wondering what exactly we are doing with the site or why we are doing what we are doing. As the name implies this is a collectible site and as the site grows you will see different kinds of collectibles on it. Some will interest a lot and a lot will interest some but regardless it will have a lot of enjoyable things to look at and in some cases to learn about.

A big emphasis with Dale’s Collectibles is obviously vinyl records with a selection that covers years of music and untold numbers of artists. You will find that we have tried to give our viewers information about the records, the music and the artists. I know with the years I have spent collecting records there are more times than I would care to say that I hear a song or read a song title and immediately wonder what happened to that person or even what is the history of that person or group or even why was that song written, well in many cases we have included information that you may thoroughly enjoy reading as time allows.

Vinyl Albums

We know and understand that records are collected for many different reasons, but we also know that the motivation for collecting vinyl is a love for the music and the wonderful sound of vinyl. We are aware that some people collect one style of music, others collect music from a certain artist, a certain label, those who only collect 45’s and others who only collect albums and those who just love to collect. Well we are trying to cover all these and more, you will find a wide range of records, artists, genre, rare radio station copies and more on our site.

We are trying to add more vinyl every day, so the site is growing, and the choice is expanding so if you have looked for vinyl once don’t forget the selection is growing daily and might warrant your looking more often.

In addition to vinyl there is a selection of CD’s for those who enjoy and even collect those. This assortment is also expanding frequently. The CD selection encompasses many different genres and equally as many artists.

For those who enjoy movies the site includes many DVD’s and yes even VHS tapes that may appeal to you. Both categories are seeing frequent expansion.

Beside the vinyl which we have said is really a focus of this site, we have a major assortment of NASCAR diecast cars, many of which are autographed by the drivers. The selection is wide and includes autographed collectibles from some of the greatest of all time such as Dale Earnhardt “The Intimidator”, Richard “The King” Petty, Jimmy Johnson, Cale Yarborough, Donnie Allison, Harry Gant, Jeff Gordon, Darrell Waltrip and a lot more. We have cars that have one autograph, some have two and even more while others are not autographed but great to collect. With any collection when stored properly and cared for while being enjoyed they increase in value. Of course, I realize that not all collections are created with the idea of building value. It is obvious that most collections are built from deep feelings towards what is being collected. As I am sure you are aware collections all get started somewhere for some reason, everyone is different and the reasons are equally different but the reality is the collection grows with you enjoying it.

NASCAR DIECAST 97 KURT BUSCH

In the case of collecting NASCAR diecast most collectors have a love for the sport, have a connection to the sport, know someone involved in the sport or maybe someone just like the look of the cars. It really does not matter how or why you started your collection or what you do with the collection, how you build the collection, how you enjoy the collection. It is up to you but we have a site for the NASCAR collector to come find pieces that they may want in their collection, enjoy in their collection for years to come items they will enjoy knowing they have. This part of our
Dale’s Collectibles is growing steadily as well so if this is something that interests you, check us out and check us out often.

Going along with the racing theme we do have other collectibles as well, some already on the site some that will be arriving in the future. NHRA collectibles, trading cards, racing souvenirs, books and memorabilia are part of what we are doing.

We have some autographed NFL items on our site as well like Howie Long autographed Raiders Helmets, Peyton Manning, John Elway and Terry Bradshaw signed footballs. Items that NFL fans may enjoy.

By now I hope I have given you a good idea about our web site and how it is a go to site to find various collectible items, items that fit you and into your collections. Please remember we are growing and expanding with items that you may enjoy and maybe collect.

I hope that you will visit often and enjoy efforts and we will try our very best to always give you things that you will like, love and collect.

Thank you for your time,

Dale

Notes Of Nostalgia Christmas

Notes Of Nostalgia Vinyl Records

It is the Holiday Season and I have to say that Christmas Time is my favorite time of the year. I love how everything changes during this season, I love the lights, the shopping, the decorations, the holiday get-together but what really seems to trigger the Christmas season for me is Christmas Music. Sure, we have all heard the Christmas songs before, but it really does change moods and focus. It is interesting how you go along all wrapped up in the day to day grind that we all face and the Holiday season starts and your focus inevitably migrates from just business to include more family time. It has been said that even though you hear about how rushed everyone is and you have a sense of how rushed you yourself can become during this season a calming feeling seems to settle in. I believe there is a magic in the Christmas season.

I mentioned Christmas music and what a big part it plays in the overall Holiday season so I decided that I would put together a list of what I would consider my personal favorite Top Thirty Christmas songs of all time and for fun call it Dales Collectible’s Top Thirty Christmas Songs, now that was original, right?

I think back to when I first remember listening to Christmas records as I grew up, I was fortunate as I had a mother that would sing many of the songs which added special meaning to them for me. I learned to enjoy Christmas Carolers and hearing choirs sing those songs, enjoyed songs on the radio, on TV and in person. Great memories, wonderful memories that will be with me forever.

Those family times for some of us included going out and finding just the right Christmas Tree, bringing it home and decorating while the music of the season played in the background. I remember when I was very young having my mother teach me just how to decorate not only the tree but our home so everything looked really good, a near perfect blend of color personified in ornaments, lights and garland. You know I still treasure those lessons and they have never left me.

In addition to the decorating I always treasured the time when the decorating was complete, and we got to sit back for a little while, drink a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the beauty of what we created. Then there was the fun of showing off our tree and home to my friends and the pride I felt when they would say how pretty everything looked. All the while we had the music of the Christmas season softly playing in the background.

Nearly every Christmas Eve and Christmas Day when I was young there were trips to my grandparents’ homes to deliver presents and spend some quality time enjoying Christmas Dinner and visiting. It always seemed like Christmas music was playing be it in the car as we traveled or when we we revisiting. Several of my relatives, like my mother could sing and it was fun to have them gather around a piano and sing the songs of the season. Great memories of happy times from the past stay with us forever, and what really brings them out is hearing those great Christmas songs. Christmas music allows me to escape for a trip back to days that have passed, remember the people, the places and the love. These wonderful memories triggered by the wonderful sounds of the season make my Christmas season so much brighter.

What’s your favorite Christmas Song?

Enjoy all those special holiday moments.
